Clemson Libraries Dean Kay Wall believes in the power
of membership and association, not only at the state level, but
regionally and nationally as well. Kay is a former Chair of the
PASCAL Board of Directors 2009-2010 and a member previously since
2008; Board Member of SOLINET 2006-2009; and Board Member of ASERL –
the Association for Southeastern Regional Libraries 2008-2010. In
addition, she is a current and long-time member of both ALA and its
academic division, ACRL. Kay has also served in many leadership
positions with the Mississippi Library Association previous to her
residency in South Carolina.
Quote:
“Not only am I a individual member of SCLA,
but Clemson Libraries is an Institutional member. I encourage all
people working in all kinds of libraries in the state, as well as our
many Trustees and Friends, to be SCLA members. There is a membership
category right for you.
I especially encourage all library directors,
deans, administrators, managers,
decision-makers, procurement agents and purchasing heads to keep an active
SCLA membership and thereby maintain our South Carolina decision-making and collective
buying power strong . I also salute our
many library vendors, exhibitors and suppliers who faithfully support
SCLA and encourage all SCLA Members to attend the Conference exhibits
and showcases.”
